Hi,

 

In the last blog post, we talked about our new game, code name “Breakpoint” and showed you the Pixel Art for our main character. Well in the spirit of Indie Game Development, that’s changed. We have updated our art style due to complications with our previous artist. With that in mind, we would like to say “All art before this point was created by Louis Vanderman”….. Now, with that legal jargon out of the way. We’re glad to introduce our new artist “Talal” and with him, we bring a new and fresh Pixel Art style to the team.

As you can see by the picture this new Pixel Art style introduces a cartoony (just made up that word) to the art. We will be showing you more screenshots in the future posts. We’ve had some massive updates to the game as well. We’re bringing on a writer to help us out with creating some dialogue. (Don’t worry, we’ll show you this as well soon). We’re also aiming to release the game on Steam. I can’t give an exact release date yet (as with any game, it will probably change), but we’re aiming for the end of Summer.

 

Also, we’re starting a new YouTube series. It’s going to be based around BTS (Behind The Scenes) and we aim to show you what goes on here at BlindFold Studios on a daily basis and some of the trials and tribulations that we face, making games. The release date for the premiere is planned for the 15th of June. (We haven’t told anyone that yet, so shush!). Again, if you’re interested in seeing some trailers and such, go follows us on Twitter, we’ll be keeping you up-to-date over there.

Evan is the kind of guy who always walks around with microphones and headphones trying to record sounds for our games. He lives and breathes sound and is the one behind our games' music and sound design. Whenever we think of sound material he is always the one to come to mind.
EVAN KAPANTAIS
Justin is our Southern Californian pixel wizard. Pixels are his life. He helps breathe digital life into our ideas and illustrate our adventures. He is hoping to bring new worlds to your screen and can't wait to share what he's been working on for us.
